RAI Amsterdam needed to expand distribution capability and improve operational decision-making. Congestion, inefficient traffic flow and paper-based systems were holding communication back.

Voyage Control was implemented to optimise vehicle distribution, scheduling and management, moving operations from manual paper processes to a digital, data-driven approach with real-time vehicle tracking.

Early distribution point allocation and clear directional guidance minimised congestion. A phased rollout enabled staggered vehicle arrivals and better pre-arrival preparation for drivers.

Congestion and downtime fell through optimised hall and loading area scheduling. The need for external holding areas dropped to just two events a year, safety improved through systematic traffic management, and accurate daily traffic forecasting made staff scheduling far more efficient.
